Recommended Polishing Sequence & Best Practices

To achieve optimal surface quality without micro-scratching, follow these engineering steps:

Step 1 (Pre-Cleaning): Clean the workpiece surface thoroughly with solvent to remove previous grit particles.
Step 2 (Application): Apply a small drop of W3.5 paste directly onto a clean hardwood lap or felt bob.
Step 3 (Polishing): Operate at moderate speed with light pressure. Add a drop of water or paraffin lubricant if the carrier becomes too dry.
Step 4 (Next Stage): Clean the mold cavity completely before progressing to Grade W1.0 (8000#) for final mirror finishing.
