TECHNICAL DATA SHEET (TDS) & PROCESS GUIDE Standard: AISI H13 / DIN 1.2344 / JIS SKD61

1. Chemical Composition (wt%)

Element C Si Mn Cr Mo V Fe
Specification 0.32–0.45 0.80–1.20 0.20–0.50 4.75–5.50 1.10–1.75 0.80–1.20 Balance

2. Welding Parameters: Laser vs. TIG

⚡ Laser Welding 0.2–0.6 mm

Preheat Temp Room Temp – 100°C
Pulse Power 120–220 A
Shielding Gas Argon ≥99.99% (3–6 L/min)
HAZ Impact Extremely low (<0.1 mm)

🔥 TIG Welding 0.8–2.4 mm

Preheat Temp 300°C – 400°C Mandatory
Welding Current 40–120 A (DCEN)
Shielding Gas Argon ≥99.99% (8–12 L/min)
Post-Heat Slow cooling or 500°C stress relief

💡 Key Repair & Operation Instructions:

  • Surface Preparation: Thoroughly clean oil, rust, and fatigue layer around cracks using a grinder before welding.
  • Crack Prevention (TIG): H13 has high hardenability. Preheating to 300°C+ is critical for TIG welding to avoid cold cracking.
