TECHNICAL DATA SHEET (TDS) & PROCESS GUIDE Standard: GB Cr12MoV / DIN 1.2601 / High-Cr Cold Work

1. Chemical Composition (wt%)

Element C Si Mn Cr Mo V Fe
Specification 1.45–1.70 0.10–0.40 0.15–0.40 11.00–12.50 0.40–0.60 0.15–0.30 Balance

2. Welding Parameters: Laser vs. TIG

⚡ Laser Welding 0.2–0.6 mm

Preheat Temp Room Temp – 100°C
Pulse Power 110–210 A
Shielding Gas Argon ≥99.99% (3–6 L/min)
HAZ Impact Minimal HAZ, ideal for delicate cutting edge repair

🔥 TIG Welding 0.8–2.4 mm

Preheat Temp 350°C – 450°C Mandatory
Welding Current 40–110 A (DCEN)
Shielding Gas Argon ≥99.99% (8–12 L/min)
Post-Heat Slow cooling or 500°C stress relief annealing

💡 Key Repair & Operation Instructions:

  • As-Welded Hardness Note: As-welded deposit yields 55–58 HRC (different from quenched parent metal 58–62 HRC). Preheating to **350°C–450°C is mandatory** during TIG welding.
