TECHNICAL DATA SHEET (TDS) & PROCESS GUIDE Standard: Uddeholm DF-2 / AISI O1 / DIN 1.2510 / 100MnCrW4

1. Chemical Composition (wt%)

Element C Si Mn Cr W V Fe
Specification 0.90–1.05 0.15–0.50 1.00–1.40 0.40–0.70 0.40–0.70 0.10–0.30 Balance

2. Welding Parameters: Laser vs. TIG

⚔ Laser Welding 0.2–0.6 mm

Preheat Temp Room Temp – 100°C
Pulse Power 110–200 A
Shielding Gas Argon ≄99.99% (3–6 L/min)
HAZ Impact Minimal HAZ, preventing distortion on precision gauges

šŸ”„ TIG Welding 0.8–2.4 mm

Preheat Temp 300°C – 400°C Mandatory
Welding Current 40–110 A (DCEN)
Shielding Gas Argon ≄99.99% (8–12 L/min)
Post-Heat Slow cooling or 200°C low-temp tempering

šŸ’” Key Repair & Operation Instructions:

  • Low Distortion & Keen Edge: Mn-Cr-W composition delivers minimal dimensional change, maintaining razor-sharp cutting edges and high 58–62 HRC hardness.
  • Preheating Control (TIG): Preheating to **300°C–400°C** before TIG repair is essential to prevent cold cracking along the weld line.
