H13 Welding Wire

Material: H13 / 1.2344 / SKD61
Hardness: 42–45 HRC (50–52 Post-Heat)
🔥 Hot Work Steel & Thermal Fatigue Resistance

Application: Aluminum & zinc die-casting molds, hot extrusion dies, hot forging inserts, and core pin repair. Chromium-molybdenum-vanadium alloy formulation prevents heat checking, thermal cracking, and erosion.

2. Welding Parameters: Laser vs. TIG

⚡ Laser Welding 0.2–0.6 mm

Preheat TempRoom Temp – 100°C
Pulse Current100–190 A (Laser Power: 180–350 W)
Shielding GasArgon ≥99.99% (3–6 L/min)
HAZ ImpactUltra-low HAZ, excellent thermal strain control

🔥 TIG Welding 0.8–2.4 mm

Preheat Temp250°C – 350°C Mandatory
Welding Current50–150 A (DCEN) (Precision Repair Standard)
Shielding GasArgon ≥99.99% (8–12 L/min)
Post-HeatSlow cooling / Tempering at 500°C–550°C

💡 Key Repair & Operation Instructions:

  • Superior Thermal Shock Resistance: Balanced Mo-V content delivers excellent hot hardness and toughness under repeated thermal stress in die casting and hot forging.
  • Preheating & Tempering: Preheating die to 250°C–350°C prevents weld line thermal cracking; tempering post-welding elevates hardness to 50–52 HRC while stress-relieving the repair zone.
